SHUFFLES
ANNUAL HOLIDAY PRODUCTION
PETER PANTOmime is a Shuffles holiday tradition now in its 17th year. The story of Peter Pan celebrates the joy of childhood for all ages. Shuffles students grow with the production each year going from Woodland Creatures or Mermaids to Lost Boys and on to Tinkerbell, Wendy or even Peter.
Peter Pantiomime is performed in the style of a traditional English Pantomime complete with audience participation! Come cheer for Peter, hiss at Captain Hook, boo for the pirates, and clap for Tinkerbell!
WHAT IS AN ENGLISH PANTOMIME?
Pantomime literally means “all kinds” of “mime”. Based on the early masques of the Elizabethan and Stuart days. Usually performed around the holiday and Christmas season, these over the top performances are nearly always based on popular children’s stories. Pantomimes were performed not only in lavish theaters but in village halls all across Britain.
English Pantomimes are an important historical theatrical landmark style and have had a recent resurgence in Great Britain. Shuffles is proud to offer our students the opportunity to GO PANTO!
