Buddy enjoyed collaborating with favorite choreographer, Gail Pennington Crutchfield, on his Off Broadway directing debut, FRECKLEFACE STRAWBERRY. Regional Directing: 1940s RADIO HOUR, FOREVER PLAID, COMPLETE WORKS of WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE ABRIDGED, CAMPING WITH HENRY AND TOM. As an actor on Broadway he played Ciccio in THE MOST HAPPY FELLA (Booth), appeared on the Tony Awards, toured the country in CATS (Gus/Growltiger). His Off Broadway acting credits include – SUMMER OF ’42, ENTER THE GUARDSMAN, SIX WIVES… An original Radio City New Yorker, Buddy premiered “There Are No Girls, Quite Like Show Girls!” by Sammy Cahn. He has been a guest soloist with the Baltimore, Hartford and Dallas Symphonies. Recordings – Lost in Boston II (Varese Sarabande), THE MOST HAPPY FELLA (RCA). He also collaborated with Gail to create the SHUFFLES holiday panto, PETER PANTOmime. He is most proud of his parental collaboration producing, Abigail – Harvard ’10 and Coleman – Princeton ’12. He is a native Texan, and holds a Bachelor of Music, Voice Performance, SMU ’79.
