May Productionat SHUFFLES
We are happy to announce our Spring 2022 May Production, Our State Fair! Rides, prizes, pies, and more are coming to The Kaye Playhouse stage on May 21st and 22nd. And there’ll be plenty of dancing, singing, and celebrating as we tap our way to the Blue Ribbon finale! Be sure to check out the highlights below from last year’s May Production, ABOUT TOWN!
ABOUT THE SHOW
Following a year of Zoom classrooms and dark stages, SHUFFLES took the stage at Lincoln Center, Damrosch Park for our 2021 May Show – ABOUT TOWN: Roaring Through The Twenties.
Joining some of the first arts organizations to safely gather outdoors, we shared our take on the history of Broadway as we danced our way through the decades to celebrate live theatre with our students, families, and community.
“What a joy to see the entire Shuffles community together, live and in person, for our end of the year May production! And what a thrill it was to be under the Damrosch Park bandshell at Lincoln Center. The evening was magical in every way from the Opening number of 42 St to our finale Give My Regards To Broadway and Strike Up the Band. Now on to Shuffles 30th Anniversary 2021-2022! Join us!”
– Gail P Crutchfield, Founder & Executive Artistic Director
“What a beautiful gift you gave to all of us! It was like watching a gorgeous explosion of pent up talent as our kids were finally together again, in person, singing, dancing and tapping their way “About Town.” Every May Shuffles show is memorable, but this year will always hold a special place for us. Thank you, Shuffles – for always having the incredible creativity, vision and determination that allows our kids to step into the spotlight and shine so brightly!”
– Marcia Ciriello, SHUFFLES Parent
“Performing “About Town” in-person at Lincoln Center during the pandemic was absolutely exhilarating. Everyone was so excited and grateful to be there, which made the day so special. I had the time of my life last weekend; it’s one of those moments I’ll never forget.”
