May Productionat SHUFFLES
All SHUFFLES students are given the opportunity to perform and show off their training. The benefits of performing are valuable to the students not only as actors but also for their own personal growth and fun. Performances range from parent visiting days and studio showcases to big full scale productions at The Kaye Playhouse.
The end of the year May Production at The Kaye Playhouse culminates each year at Shuffles. This exciting unique show is an all dancing, all singing, “Broadway Production” conceived, directed and choreographed by Broadway professionals. These sold-out performances are complete with beautiful costumes, original musical arrangements, professional rehearsals, and live music in a union theater. All SHUFFLES students perform. Rose Awards and The Joy Award are given at the last show on Sunday.
This year, our students, parents, and teachers collaborated to bring our May Show, “Big Spring High School,” to Virtual Life! We are so proud of the flexibility, dedication, and positivity displayed from everyone as we worked to commemorate this unprecedented time. Please tune in and watch our students shine in “Big Spring High School….Big Sky. Big Hair….Big DREAMS”
A single ROSE is given to dedicated students who have been training at SHUFFLES for five years or more.
Every year, approximately 80 students receive a Rose Award, and many of these students have been part of the SHUFFLES family for 10-15 years.
The JOY AWARD is awarded to the student who best exemplifies JOY with peers, teachers and the disciplines of Tap and Musical Theater.
